I started this movie because I was very curious to see if there is any thing good in this movie. i could not tolerate this movie beyond 20 minutes. So I would not be able to write too much about this movie. Lot of people say say Sadak was good movie but very few are aware that Sadak was copy of hit hollywood movie Taxi Driver. My advice would be not to waste your two hours and skip this movie.

The story begins with the flashback of Sadak 1 and Alia bhatt devestating the personification of counterfeit guru. The beginning is very intriguing, connecting and the subsequent 2 nd half is marginally exhausting, unsurprising and the climax turns out be more extended.Director completly fails to use star cast.

Story started with flash back of Sadak original where Alia destroys the fakebaba caricature. This is old age formula where screen play could have been better. Few dialogues were good but they don't give any much needed impact or goosebumps. Direction wise it is not at all on par with sadak1 and still after 20 years, there is no freshness or newness in the story. Music is okok and films saviour song is Tumse hi. Acting wise Adityaroy kapur tried much where there is no script. Even gulshan grover and makarands appearances are not so worthy. Sanjay dutt presence is good and Alia didn't have much to do but she is into herself in most of the scenes. Finally Sadak2 tried to convey us dint be superstitious and don't fall into the trap of people who make you believe in superstitious and that too without proper conclusion

Most of the people here are rating the movie without even watching it because of the ongoing fiasco about the recent death in Bollywood, but to be honest this movie was phenomenal and no matter how much we criticise Alia Bhatt or Mahesh Bhatt for that matters for their family name and doubt their credibility we just cannot deny the fact that both are phenomenal in their respective paths. Alia was the star performer of the movie and proved her credibility through her acting! SHE IS TALENTED! and SANJAY DUTT WAS INCREDIBLE AND FLAWLESS AS ALWAYS! MAKHRAND DESHPANDE WILL TAKE A BOW! JISHU SENGUPTA CHARMING AS ALWAYS! ADITYA DID A FANTASTIC JOB AND EXPRESSED THE EMOTIONS WITH PERFECTION! And talking about the movie and its message it is partly a satirical drama in which gives us a critical point of you about the sick mentality of a country! Some may not understand it As they run behind spice and A love sequence in movies but sometimes you have got to look at the other way round

This movie starts from where Sadak(1991) movie left. I can say movie is not that bad and Sanjay dutt acted very well and all other actors are not upto expectations. Story and plot is very big negative for movie and direction also can be improved. Overall it's one time watchable if you have enough time to waste on a movie.. Happy watching!! Regards, Sid

Cast: Alia Bhatt, Sanjay Dutt, Aditya Roy Kapur, Makarand Deshpande, Priyanka Bose, Jisshu Sengupta, Gulshan Grover Director: Mahesh Bhatt Rating: 1.5 stars (out of 5) In Sadak 2, Mahesh Bhatt's first directorial venture since 1999, the paths of a taxi driver who has lost his will to live and a 20-year-old girl whose life is in grave danger cross. It isn't a happy intersection. The engine that the film runs on is terribly rusty and the road it takes leads nowhere. Sadak 2, streaming on Disney Hotstar, is more than two hours of utter bilge, a bewildering to-ing and fro-ing between one bend in the road and the next. With its headlights on the blink, it never comes close to finding a meaningful exit point out of the contrived, circuitous track it strays into without the foggiest idea why it is here. The actors sleepwalk through their roles in this laughably laboured action drama. The lines they are saddled with are so silly that they are funny. Pointing to the sad-sack cabbie (Sanjay Dutt), the harried girl (Alia Bhatt) tells her as-dull-as-a-tomb boyfriend (Aditya Roy Kapoor): "He is suicidal." The guy replies after a pause that has no reason to exist: "That is insane.: The banality of it all borders on the batty.

How has so much money been invested in this movie is a case of investigation in itself. With all the debate on nepotism going on & people hellbent on boycotting it, the story has provided them with all the more reasons. Mahesh bhatt being in the industry for so many years approved the script, directed & invested in it. What more can be said. Except for the acting by its actors , there is nothing to even give 1 star to its review.

We have Aarya (Alia Bhatt) who seems to be mentally disturbed but she isn’t and her parents, who don’t seem to be mentally disturbed but they’re. Aarya is looking for revenge of a certain thing that unfolds later in the story. She decides to spend her 21st birthday at Kailash Mansarovar and gets Ravi (Sanjay Dutt) as her driver. Before picking up her boyfriend Vishal (Aditya Roy Kapur) from Central Jail, Aarya opens up her secrets to Ravi. While Vishal feels uncomfortable sharing the cab with Ravi, Aarya develops a fatherly bond with him. Before reaching Kailash, Aarya’s secrets create a ruckus and mess up the trip. Ravi gets involved in this family revenge saga and decides to help Aarya. Those who are watching Bollywood since the 90s will indeed predict what happens next.

Till today, I was fairly confident that 2020 won't give us a film that's worse than the Kartik Aaryan and Sara Ali Khan starrer Love Aaj Kal. Looks like this God-awful year hits a new low every time you stop looking. This Friday dropped on Disney+Hotstar, Sanjay Dutt and Alia Bhatt starrer Sadak 2. The film marks Mahesh Bhatt's return to direction after a two-decade-long hiatus. Bhatt Senior, known for path-breaking films like Arth and Zakhm, attempts to tell the story about the business of religion. Lamentably, it's inconsistent in both its writing and execution

Top notch movie of Sanjay Dutt, Alia, Aditya, Pooja. Sanju’s terrific performance. Sanju is the best actor of Bollywood and will always be. Five stars. I would like to share my own personal opinion and request my fellow global citizens to assess movie rating independently. There are 7.5 B people on our planet. The movie reviews shared below are of handful people but those who have watched the movie have given positive review. I give the movie 5 stars. Overall, the movie is touching and emotional, the songs are top rated. Mr. Dutt is truly the finest actor of Bollywood film industry. He had great screen presence and have been top notch in his movie scenes and action. Looking forward to seeing you in your future movies. Get well soon. As I mentioned above, Alia, Aditya and voice presence of Pooja is excellent. This is what true love is, it never dies and lives forever. Well done.

It’s more than clear that Indian public has literally lost it completely and has no better job than to spam dislikes n 1 star reviews even without watching the film and instead choose to promote trash like dil bechara. It may not be the best of movies, but definitely a great one time watch. Performances by actors are solid and the best part about the movie is its music- the songs completely steal the show (but Indians have to spam dislikes for no reason even for that- shows how much they actually care about talent for all that they preach about it). And there are clips from the original sadak which give you a walk down the memory lane. Only complaint is that pooja bhatt should’ve had a much more substantial presence than just her voice. Surprisingly even critic reviews for this film seem abnormally biased, either influenced by vested interests at works or maybe the correspondents are themselves among those who believe in the bs being propagated around rn. So ya, if you wanna watch a good movie at this time on an ott platform with an open mind, this should be worth a try. Else like most of India’s public rn you can pass, give it 1 star, and go to your usual non sense of republic tv, times now and dil bechara because that’s what this ignorant and malignant public deserves.

Director tried to make this movie good, but somehow he couldn't do it, by the way story is same dramatic. The movie would have earned more if there wasn't happened the issue of sushant Singh rajput`s death issue, in which alia bhatt`s father's named mahesh bhatt and his whole family including alia bhatt too came, and that's why the movie got dumped, even it's trailer got more crores dislike.

Good that Mahesh Bhatt retained Sanjay Dutt and didn’t go all-new with the cast, Alia adds value to the acting department All the investors of this industry, please repeat this ten times after me – WE WON’T INVEST MONEY IN FILMS THAT ARE REMADE JUST FOR THE SAKE OF IT! (I’m counting) If not for Sanjay and Alia, this movie would’ve been a loo break I had to take while watching Bobby Deol’s Aashram. watch it only for the performances

Movie is said to be sequel and is suppose to have no connection from first part but it's just a ploy to grab eyeball. Story is not clear and screenplay is uneven. Mahesh bhatt returned to direction after 21 years to give such a disaster. Alia bhatt is hamming in every scene and Sanjay dutt doesn't look interested. Aditya roy kapur is wasted and he is no where in second half. I think Bhatts have lost their touch in past few years. It will add up to their flop list!

This movie tries to encash on the fame and success of its predecessor Sadak which saw Sanjay Dutt in lead role, this movie we see him in the lead role itself, it's only him who's trying to carry complete movie on his shoulder. Brilliant actors but to no vail, coming from Bhatt camp and based on religion, we expected much to levels of Zakhm however this is no where near it even. Very easy to guess the anticipated finale this leaves much to be desired. Aditya still stereotyped into drug abused. The story being easily guessable takes the excitement of watching the movie. One time watch nothing more to expect.

It is incredible that this movie was even made. The producers of the film should be have taken pity on the people under lockdown and not released it. The story is terrible, screenplay horrendous and the acting is downright poor. Most of the dialogue in the film can be simply defined as "ghisa pita". Whenever the plot, rises ever so slightly , to sprout some interest, the filmmaker destroys that potential without delay. The viewer is confused about the tone of the film. Is it supposed to be dark? Serious? Parody? Are the actors acting the way they are, because they have been instructed to sabotage the film ? The music is forgettable. Sets, art and production designers have painted a migraine on screen. The Make up is farcical.

After her mother Shakuntala Desai’s death under mysterious circumstances, the Desai Group of Industries scion Aarya (Alia Bhatt) vows to avenge the murder and bring the culprits to justice. And, in order to honour her mother’s last wish, Aarya embarks on a journey to Kailash and the story of ‘Sadak 2’ unfolds. REVIEW: Her entire family – comprising the maasi-turned-step-mother Nandini Maa (Priyanka Bose) and father Yogesh (Jisshu Sengupta) – is under the spell of ‘dhongi sadhu’ Gyaan Prakash (Makarand Deshpande) but Aarya, all of 20, knows better. Utterly convinced that her beloved mother died owing to an elaborate plan hatched by Gyaan Prakash and that ‘disease’ Nandini, Aarya launches an online campaign called ‘India Fights Fake Gurus’. Her motivation is to reveal the truth behind these supposed messengers of God and debunk the myth and mystery surrounding them. While treading along this mission, Aarya falls in love with a former troll – a very good-looking musician with issues of his own, Vishal (Aditya Roy Kapur). Together, they embark on a pilgrimage to fulfil Aarya’s maa-ka-aakhri-sapna of visiting Kailash on her 21st birthday. However, there is a small hurdle – the booking agent/ co-owner of Pooja Travels and Tours (that guarantees safety and security 24*7) is now dead and her taxi driver husband Ravi’s (Sanjay Dutt) only purpose in life is to reunite with her in Heaven. After much cajoling and persuasion, the heartbroken cabbie reluctantly says yes. Soon after, they find solace in each other and a unique friendship blossoms that is a win-win for both – Aarya derives strength and hope from the lonely man and Ravi seeks a new purpose in life through this young girl driven to achieve what she is set out to do. Back in the 90s, when ‘Sadak’, starring Sanjay Dutt and Pooja Bhatt, hit the theatres, it was such a rage among the audience; for two reasons: the incredible love ballads and its engaging plotline. 20 years on, Mahesh Bhatt conjures up a script to take that story on the road again. ‘Sadak 2’ starts off with a grim, almost melancholic setting, where the hopeless protagonist Ravi is tying a rope around his neck and talking to his deceased wife Pooja about their impending reunion in the afterlife. But the fan that he is hanging on to comes crashing down, and Ravi has to live another day. While listening to ‘Hum Tere Bin Kahin Reh Nahin Paate’ (such nostalgia, much wow!) in his garage and planning yet another exit, his door bolts open and a hyper Aarya storms in demanding her three-month advance booking be honoured. Thus, begins a journey of random twists-and-turns, both on the road and off it, and a screenplay that goes down various routes and eventually hits a dead-end. We don’t know where to begin with: the dialogues are dated and over the top. It’s been decades since we heard anyone in the movies say ‘Jo garjte hai woh baraste nahi’ or ‘Aadmi karz lauta sakta hain, ehsaan nahin’. No matter what the logic is, co-writers Pushpdeep Bhardwaj, Mahesh Bhatt and Suhrita Sengupta could have done much better with the writing that is so passé. Now shifting focus to the set design and overall look-and-feel of the movie: the gundas wear flashy and eye-popping outfits, big wigs and enact dramatic knife-wielding scenes on camera topped with caricaturish action sequences. The background score by Sandeep Chowta deserves a special mention here and not for the right reasons – it’s melodramatic and borderline annoying. Alia Bhatt, who is known for her fine performances on screen, falls flat this one time. Apart from a few emotional scenes, this act - by her own high standards - is strictly average. Aditya Roy Kapur doesn’t have much role to play besides looking smoking hot and after a point, he appears aloof and even takes a back seat. Sanjay Dutt pulls off his emotional scenes quite well with those welled-up bulgy eyes doing all the talking. Even at this age, he sure knows how to bring off an action sequence – taking down the baddies one by one. In a smaller role, Jisshu Sengupta as Alia’s daddy is impactful and he totally owns the few frames that he has in this action-drama. On the other hand, seasoned actors like Makarand Deshpande and Priyanka Bose deliver some unbelievably overblown acting. Their pseudo holy/ satanic act is hilarious to the core and quite frankly, at times we wonder whether to laugh or cry even during the emotionally-charged scenes. It is rather disappointing to see a filmmaker of Mahesh Bhatt’s stature to make a comeback as a director with ‘Sadak 2’. No offense… but why this, Bhatt saab? In a nutshell, ‘Sadak 2’, for everyone involved with this project, should have been a ‘road not taken’. And for those who are planning on watching this purely for sentimental reasons, be forewarned: This Sadak leads nowhere; turn back. Jai Guru ji!

After listening the release of sadak 2 in this lockdown simply thought it would be an epic movie just like its original sequel sadak but I eneded up in wrong way . It's just the opposite of what we had experienced in the previous movie . By watching the trailer itself which cast Alia bhatt,Sanjay dutt,Aditya Roy Kapoor and other didn't gave the feeling of an exciting story which we would see in upcoming days . The song of this movie were not as bad as the movie itself and it gave me the hope so that I would atleast listen the songs evergreen. I just hope for the movie to comeback for the audience and the starcast itself.

The movie sadak 2 can be the predecessor of the sadak iconic movie but instead of that ,the directors just felt the need to carry on the sequel without a great story . The songs of this movie is good no doubt in that but no one is going to spend their money just to hear songs .so it will end in a very disappointing manner. In the first movie sadak it was having a great starcast and the songs of that movie is still remembered .but like it's said that only story can't decide how much a movie is going to make . I think the effect of ssr and nepostism has binded the movie in a very helpless manner that no one can take from it ,even sanjay dutt Let's hope for best at the end .
